Community Guidelines
What we expect from anything you share publicly on CSSkinLab or in our community spaces. Short version: be honest, be decent, and never scam anyone.
Last updated: 14 July 2026
01 What these guidelines cover
These Community Guidelines apply to everything you publish or share through CSSkinLab that other people can see: public portfolios and their names and descriptions, loadout and trade-up names and notes, content you submit through support channels, and your conduct in official CSSkinLab community spaces such as our Discord server and social accounts.
They sit alongside our Terms of Service — a violation of these guidelines is a violation of the Terms. Where a community platform (such as Discord) has its own rules, those apply too.
02 Be respectful
Treat other users and our team the way you would want to be treated. Disagreement about prices, trade-ups, or market calls is normal and welcome; personal attacks are not.
Harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing (publishing someone's private information), and targeted abuse of any person or group have no place here, whether aimed at users, our staff, or anyone else.
03 Prohibited content
Do not publish, in any name, description, note, or message on the Service:
- hate speech, slurs, or content that demeans people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics;
- sexually explicit material or content sexualising minors in any form;
- threats, incitement to violence, or glorification of violence;
- content that is illegal where you live or where we operate;
- malware, exploit code, or links designed to compromise accounts or devices;
- spam — repetitive, irrelevant, or purely promotional content.
04 Scams, phishing & impersonation
The CS2 skin economy attracts scammers, and we take this especially seriously. Do not use CSSkinLab to promote fake giveaways, "free skins" schemes, phishing links, trade-scam patterns, account-stealing tools, or any site that imitates Steam, a marketplace, or CSSkinLab itself.
Do not impersonate CSSkinLab staff, Valve, marketplace operators, or other users — in names, descriptions, or anywhere else. Accounts engaged in scam activity are terminated on first offence, and where appropriate we report them to the relevant platforms.
05 Market integrity
Do not use public content on CSSkinLab to spread deliberately false market information — fabricated sale prices, fake pump-and-dump signals, or misrepresentation of what our data shows. Sharing your honest analysis and opinions, including bullish or bearish calls, is always fine; manufacturing false evidence is not.
Do not attempt to manipulate the data behind the Service itself — see the acceptable-use section of the Terms of Service for the technical rules on scraping and abuse.
06 Names & public sharing
Portfolio names and descriptions, loadout names, and similar labels can be seen by anyone you share a link with, and public portfolios are visible to anyone who has the URL. Everything in these guidelines applies to them.
Remember that your Steam persona name and avatar are shown alongside content you share. If you do not want something visible, keep the portfolio private — private content is only ever visible to you.
07 Reporting violations
If you come across content or behaviour that breaks these guidelines, email [email protected] with a link or screenshot and a short description. On Discord, you can also message the moderators directly. We review every report; we do not disclose who reported.
08 Enforcement
Depending on severity, we may remove content, issue a warning, restrict specific features, or suspend or terminate the account as described in the Terms of Service. Scams, threats, and content involving minors skip the warning step.
If you believe we got it wrong, reply to the notice you received or email [email protected] and we will take a second look.
09 Changes to these guidelines
As CSSkinLab grows — especially if we add more social features — these guidelines will evolve with it. The "Last updated" date below reflects the most recent revision; material changes will be announced in the application.
