Frequently asked questions

What are the CS2 wear conditions?
CS2 skins have five wear tiers based on float value: Factory New (0.00–0.07), Minimal Wear (0.07–0.15), Field-Tested (0.15–0.38), Well-Worn (0.38–0.45), and Battle-Scarred (0.45–1.00). Not every skin can exist in all conditions — each skin has a minimum and maximum float defined by its finish.
What are StatTrak skins?
StatTrak skins track the number of kills you get with that weapon. They are rarer than their normal counterparts and typically cost more. StatTrak skins can only be traded up with other StatTrak skins — you cannot mix StatTrak and normal skins in a trade-up contract.
Can I trade up CS2 weapon skins?
Yes. You can trade up 10 skins of the same rarity for 1 skin of the next higher rarity. The output skin comes from one of the collections represented by your inputs, and its float is calculated from the average of your input floats. Use the CSSkinLab calculator to find profitable contracts.
What affects the price of a CS2 skin?
Key price factors include rarity tier, float value (lower is more valuable), wear condition, pattern index (some patterns like Case Hardened blue gems are worth far more), StatTrak status, and supply — discontinued collection skins tend to appreciate over time.
How do I compare skin prices across marketplaces?
CSSkinLab aggregates real-time prices from Steam, CSFloat, Skinport, DMarket, WhiteMarket, and more. Each skin page shows a cross-market price comparison so you can instantly see where to buy cheapest or sell highest.
