Covert is one of the official rarity tiers Valve assigns to every weapon finish. Tiers run from Consumer Grade up through Industrial Grade, Mil-Spec, Restricted, Classified, Covert, and finally the special "Rare" tier (knives and gloves). Higher tiers mean lower drop rates per case.
Are Covert skins always expensive in 2026?
Not always. Price depends on rarity *and* demand: a Covert skin from a current, popular case can cost less than a Mil-Spec from a retired one. Float, pattern, and StatTrak all stack on top of rarity to determine the final price.
How do you get Covert skins in CS2?
Covert skins drop directly from weapon cases (with the corresponding probability for the tier) and can also be produced by Trade Up Contracts from the tier below. The cheapest path is usually the market — the items on this page are listed by current market price, sorted by what's most expensive.
Which Covert skin is the most popular?
The top item on this page is the most popular covert skin right now — ranked by real Steam sales volume and on-site trade activity. To see the most valuable covert skin instead, switch the sort to "Priciest". The answers are often different: the most popular skin is whatever's hot at a tradeable price point, while the most valuable is usually a high-float-rare specimen that almost never changes hands.
