Most weapon cases reserve the rare drop slot for knives or gloves with roughly a 0.26% chance per opening. To see the rare drops at the top of the list, switch the sort to "Priciest" — they're the most expensive items the case can produce, but rarely the most-traded.

Switch the sort to "Priciest" — the top item under that view is the most expensive skin you can get from Dreams & Nightmares Case right now. The default popularity order shows what people are actually trading from this case, which is usually a mid-priced skin rather than the rare knife.
Should I open Dreams & Nightmares Case in 2026?
Case opening has negative expected value once Steam fees are included — over a long run you'll lose money compared to buying the skins directly. It's still in the active drop pool, so supply keeps growing. If you want a specific skin from this case, the math almost always favours buying it on the open market instead of gambling.
